AI enhance

Grainy at night? 4× AI super-resolution, on your phone.

Grainy footage is where number plates go to die. DashMan runs 4× AI super-resolution on your phone, after the fact, to sharpen a saved dash cam frame and pull back detail. It runs on-device — the frame never leaves your phone to be enhanced.

How DashMan's AI dashcam enhancement works

Sensor quality matters more than the megapixel number on the box — a readable number plate in the dark beats a big resolution figure. But even a good sensor struggles with a fast-moving plate at 20 metres in low light. DashMan's answer is software: pick a saved frame in the app and run 4× super-resolution to reconstruct detail the raw clip lost.

The model runs entirely on your phone. Unlike cloud-side enhancement, your footage is never uploaded to be processed — the same footage-stays-in-India principle that governs the rest of the product applies here too.

Why on-device matters

Cloud enhancement means shipping your footage to someone else's server. DashMan's runs locally, so a private moment you enhance for an insurance claim stays private.

AI enhancement — quick answers

Is DashMan's AI enhancement done in the cloud?

No. The 4× super-resolution runs on your phone, on-device. The frame is never uploaded to be enhanced, so your footage stays private and in India.

Can AI enhancement recover a number plate at night?

It is designed to sharpen a saved frame and pull back detail such as number plates from grainy low-light clips. Results depend on the source footage; enhancement improves clarity, it does not invent detail that was never captured.
